Band size
The number in a bra size, such as the 34 in 34C, based on the measurement around the ribcage under the bust.
To measure, wrap the tape snugly around the ribcage directly under the bust, keeping it level. That underbust measurement is used to work out the band size.
US and UK band sizes are in inches (30, 32, 34…); European band sizes are in centimetres (65, 70, 75…). Brands convert the underbust measurement to a band size differently, so a brand's own chart is the best guide.
