Foot length
The distance from the back of the heel to the tip of the longest toe, the basis of shoe sizing.
Foot length is the most reliable way to choose a shoe size, because shoe sizes differ between countries and brands while a measurement doesn't.
Measure standing up, with your heel against a wall, and use the longer of your two feet. Feet are slightly bigger later in the day.
