Ease
The difference between a body measurement and the garment's measurement, which gives room to move and creates the fit.
Wearing ease is the extra room a garment needs so you can move and breathe. Design ease is the extra room added for a style, such as an oversized fit.
Ease is why a garment's chest measurement is larger than the chest of the person it fits. Stretch fabrics can have little or even negative ease.
