Shoulder width
The distance across the back of a garment from one shoulder seam to the other.
Shoulder width is one of the most useful measurements for tops, shirts and jackets, because shoulders that are too narrow or too wide are hard to alter.
Measure straight across, with the garment laid flat and the shoulder seams lined up.
