Women's dresses, tops and skirts
- UK and Australia are 4 above US: a US 8 is a UK 12 and AU 12.
- EU and France are 32 above US: a US 8 is an EU 40.
- Germany runs 2 below France: a US 8 is a German 38.
- Italy runs 4 above France: a US 8 is an Italian 44.
Men's suits and jackets
US and UK suit sizes are the chest measurement in inches. EU and Italian sizes add 10: a 40 chest is an EU 50.
Men's shirts
Dress shirts are sized by collar. US and UK sizes are in inches, EU sizes in centimetres: a 15.5 inch collar is a 39.

What is a UK 10 in US sizes?
A UK 10 is a US 6, an EU 38 and an Australian 10.
Is EU sizing the same as Italian sizing?
Not for women's clothing. Italian sizes are usually 4 above EU sizes, so an EU 38 is an Italian 42. For men's suits, EU and Italian sizes are the same.
