Ways to assign a size chart

  • Specific products: for one-off items that need their own chart.
  • Collections: the most common choice. One chart for every product in "Dresses", including products you add later.
  • Tags: for charts that cut across collections, such as a "slim-fit" tag.
  • Vendor: different charts for different brands, since brands size differently.
  • Product metafields: every product with a matching metafield value. See metafield size charts.
  • All products: a store-wide fallback chart.

Assigning to products and collections is included in the Free plan. Assigning by tags and vendor is included in the Global plan and above.

Which chart shows when several match

When a product matches more than one chart, Jotly checks in this order and shows the first match:

  1. Product-specific charts always win.
  2. Collection charts. If the product is in several collections, the chart with the highest priority number wins.
  3. Tag charts, again by highest priority number.
  4. Vendor charts.
  5. The global chart for all products, if you have one.

Within each step, a higher priority number wins. You set the priority on each chart.

How size chart priority works

More than one size chart on a product

Sometimes one chart isn't enough, for example a size chart and a "How to measure your foot" guide on every shoe. Jotly can show extra size charts in their own slots on the product page. This is available on the Enterprise plan and is turned on by our support team on request.
