Inseam
The length of the inside leg seam of pants, from the crotch seam down to the hem.
Inseam is the measurement most shoppers check when buying pants, because it decides whether the legs will be too long or too short.
On a garment, it's measured along the inside leg seam from the crotch to the hem. Many jeans are sold by waist and inseam, for example 32/30.
Inseam is different from outseam, which runs down the outside of the leg from the top of the waistband to the hem.
