Tolerance
The amount a finished garment's measurements are allowed to differ from the specification in production.
No two garments come off a production line exactly the same. Brands set a tolerance for each measurement, for example plus or minus 1 cm on chest width, and accept pieces within that range.
Tolerance is why size charts often say measurements may vary slightly.
