How to connect Claude to Jotly

You can connect Claude to Jotly and manage your size guides by chatting with it. Once connected, you can ask Claude to create a size guide, update one, change which products it shows on, or find out why a size guide is not showing on your store. This guide shows you how to connect it. It takes about 2 minutes.

Heads up

Connecting an AI assistant is available on the Jotly Enterprise plan. You also need a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise) to add a custom connector in Claude.

Before you start

  • Keep the Jotly app open in one browser tab. You will copy your store domain and a connect code from it in Step 6
  • Open claude.ai in another tab and sign in

Step 1: Open Settings in Claude

Go to claude.ai and click on your profile name in the bottom left corner of the page.

A menu opens. Click on Settings.

Step 2: Add a custom connector

In the Settings window, click on Connectors in the left menu. Then click the Add button in the top right corner and select Add custom connector.

Step 3: Enter the name and URL

  1. In the first field, enter the name Jotly Size Guides
  2. In the second field, paste this URL: https://sizechart.jotlyapps.com/api/mcp
  3. Click Continue

You can also copy the name and the URL from the Jotly app. Open AI Assistants, click Connect next to Claude, and use the Copy buttons in step 2 of that page.

Step 4: Keep the default options and add the connector

Claude now shows a few options for the connector. Keep the default options selected: Sign in now and Register automatically. You do not need to change anything here. Scroll down and click the Add button.

Step 5: Click Connect

The connector is added, but it is not connected to your store yet. Click the Connect button.

A Jotly page opens and asks for your store domain and a connect code. Keep this page open, you will fill it in after the next step.

Step 6: Get your store domain and connect code from Jotly

Go to the tab where the Jotly app is open.

  1. Click on AI Assistants in the Jotly menu
  2. Click Connect next to Claude
  3. Scroll to the Approve access step. Your store domain is shown there
  4. Click Generate connect code. A code appears below your store domain
Note

The connect code works one time and expires after 10 minutes. If it expires before you use it, click Generate a new code to get a fresh one.

Step 7: Enter the details and allow access

Go back to the Jotly page that Claude opened in Step 5.

  1. Paste your store domain in the Store domain field
  2. Paste the connect code in the Connect code field
  3. Click Allow access

You are taken back to Claude, and the connector is now connected.

Step 8: Always allow Jotly tools (optional)

By default, Claude asks for your permission every time it wants to do something in Jotly. If you do not want to approve each action, click the Custom button on the connector and select Always allow.

Note

This step is optional. If you skip it, Claude will show an Allow once or Always allow prompt the first time it uses each Jotly tool.

Works

That's it. Claude is now connected to Jotly. Refresh the AI Assistants page in Jotly and you will see Claude under Connected.

What you can ask Claude

Start a new chat in Claude and ask in your own words. Here are a few examples:

  • "List my size guides"
  • "Create a size guide for men's t-shirts with sizes S to XL"
  • "Turn off unit conversion in my jeans size guide"
  • "Show the shirts size guide on all products with the tag summer"
  • "Add a how to measure section to all my size guides"
  • "Why is my size guide not showing on my store?"
Note

Claude can create and update your size guides, but it can never delete one. To delete a size guide, use the Jotly app.

Good to know

  • A connection works for 30 days. After that, open AI Assistants in Jotly and click Renew next to it. You do not need to set anything up again
  • To remove access, open AI Assistants in Jotly, open Claude under Connected and click Disconnect
  • Each person on your team can connect their own Claude account. Every connection shows who connected it

Something not working?

  • Cannot find Connectors in Claude: update the Claude desktop app, or use claude.ai in your browser
  • The connect code is not accepted: check that the store domain matches the one shown in Jotly. A code works once and expires after 10 minutes, so generate a new one and try again
  • Claude does not use Jotly in a chat: open the tools menu in the chat and make sure Jotly Size Guides is switched on
  • Claude does not see a new Jotly feature: start a new chat
